Blackjack

A card game where players compete against the dealer, often referred to as the house. The object is to have the total face values of 2 or more cards equal to, but not exceeding, 21 points and to have a higher total than the dealer. The game is played by dealing 2 cards to each player and to the dealer, who shows 1 of the 2 cards. A 21, made with the initial 2 cards, is called a blackjack and pays-out a higher percentage than would a 21 made with more than 2 cards. Matching the dealers hand results in a draw and the players wager is returned. The game is also commonly referred to as Twenty-One and is the basis for the games, Pontoon and Spanish 21.
