While this may seem like a protologism the word Alternativism has been implied, if not used, for decades now. The term itself is merely a canopy word meant to cover the variety of applications for different w:Alternative|Alternatives. Its most common usage or acceptance is in the context of specific alternative practices. An early endorsement of the term arose from analyzing alternative medicine movements. 1
