Discussion--It's that time of year again! Thanksgiving is over and the shopping season has begun. The search is on for the perfect presents to present to our friends and family. And we are all preparing to find out once again whether it is truly better to give than to receive.
Etymology--The term present is probably borrowed from the Old French present. It comes from the term en present, meaning to offer.
