noun
  1. A postmodern movement concerned with the conscious reconstruction of reality, particularly, but not exclusively, with regard to social reality. Different reconstructivists have different ideas about how this may be done, but often it takes the form of recombining or recontextualizing the ideas arrived at by deconstruction - in other words, an existing system or medium is broken down into its smallest meaningful elements, and these elements are used to build a new system or medium free from the strictures of the original.
