  1. Napoleon I (1769-1821); a general in the French army who was later Emperor Napoleon I of France from 1804 to 1814. He went on to conquer most of western Europe until he was defeated at Waterloo and exiled to the island of Saint Helena where he died.
  2. Napoleon II of France (1811-1832); son of Napoleon I. Napoleon Francis Joseph Charles Bonaparte, made King of Rome by his father, but who never reigned in France.
