Arian Heresy |

- An early Christian heresy. Arius reasoned that if Christ was the son of God, He must be younger than God, and therefore lesser than God. Since God was eternal and Christ was not; therefore Christ was not wholly God. The heresy was scotched at the Council of Nicea in 325.
