1. An area that an active bomb is contained in, normally sealed off by the authorities.
2. The site of a former piece of real estate, dwelling, store, or factory destroyed by enemy aerial bombardment, and abandoned for years or decades after. Peculiarly common in the city of Wikipedia:Liverpool|Liverpool, Wikipedia:England|England.
